American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Cardiovascular ICU night shift position requiring MN licensure and prior adult/geriatric critical care experience.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (4SW) of a hospital environment
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Night shift schedule with every weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• May be required to float to other ICUs (TNICU, MICU) or Med/Surg units when needed
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required (compact license not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required
• Adult and geriatric population experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with fresh open heart surgery patients preferred
• Skilled in cardiac rhythm interpretation preferred
• Experience with Impella and balloon pumps preferred
• Skills checklist current within 1 year, pertinent to specialty, required for consideration
• Two supervisory references with employment dates required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide holistic nursing care across the lifespan, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
• Coordinate care among disciplines and delegate tasks to other care team members as appropriate
• Participate in shared decision-making and continuous improvement of nursing practice standards
• Dress code requires Galaxy Blue scrubs
• MN DHS Net Study and fingerprinting required for all patient-facing positions
• Must list any prior work history with the health system or its affiliated facilities on resume
• Local candidates within a 35-mile radius may be considered at a reduced pay rate
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and may not be honored afterward
