American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 24 months of L&D experience, IA or compact license, and current travel experience.

Details

• Maternity/OB unit with 16 maternity beds, 12 nursery beds, 4 NICU beds, and 1 C-section suite
• Cares for antepartum, mother-baby, newborn, OB/GYN, and NICU patient populations
• Patient ratios of 1:1 in labor, 1:2 in postpartum, and 2:1 in NICU
• Level 2 maternal/neonatal center with a delivery volume of 50-60 births per month
• Administers medication drips and titrations including glucose, magnesium, pitocin, and insulin
• Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Required to work every third weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required based on patient care needs
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IA or compact/multistate RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
• NRP certification required
• Intermediate or Advanced EFM (electronic fetal monitoring) certification required
• STABLE certification required
• Minimum 24 months of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Travel nursing experience within the last 15 months required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience administering glucose, magnesium, pitocin, and insulin required
• Nursery/Mother-Baby experience preferred
• NICU experience preferred
• Postpartum experience a plus
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across labor, delivery, postpartum, nursery, and NICU patient populations
• Required to work 1-2 of the 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) unless the unit is closed
• Limited time-off requests permitted during peak holiday periods
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) may be restricted from working travel assignments in other UPH markets
