American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry night shift role requiring stroke patient experience and MD or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Med Surg unit in a 257-licensed-bed acute and sub-acute care facility
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend schedule and on-call requirements to be determined by the facility
• Must be willing to accept telemetry patients as needed
• 36 hours per week guaranteed

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• 2+ years of recent Med Surg/Tele experience required
• 2+ years of experience working with stroke patients, must be listed on resume
• Must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification within 48 hours of offer
• Must be willing to obtain mRS/SIREN certification within 48 hours of offer
• Must be willing to complete Basic EKG test and score 85% or higher within 48 hours of offer
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• COVID vaccination required with state-recorded documentation; declinations not accepted
• Must be willing to work the facility's schedule without restrictions

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational and professional nursing standards
• Accountable for quality of nursing care delivered by self and those under direction
• Utilizes specialized nursing knowledge and judgment appropriate to patient's physical and developmental needs
• Local candidates accepted
• RTO requests limited to no more than 5 days
