Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care float pool position requiring active MA licensure and the ability to titrate pressors.

Details

• Nursing Float Pool unit within a hospital setting
• Progressive Care specialty with patient ratios between 1:3 and 1:5
• 12-hour night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required (Fri, Sat, Sun for night shifts)
• Floating occurs in 4-hour blocks and may include ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• BLS-AHA certification required
• ACLS-AHA and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Must be able to titrate pressors
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred, and required for candidates without prior travel experience
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Day one pass/fail testing administered, including Tele/ECG and Medication tests
• Relias practice tests available for preparation
• Required vaccinations include COVID vaccine plus booster and Flu vaccine, with medical exemptions allowed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, with no local candidates accepted
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a minimum 6-month break before returning
• Weekly start dates occur on Mondays
• First-time travelers will be considered, though Level 1 trauma experience is required in this case
