Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Operating Room to scrub and circulate a wide range of surgical specialties, requiring CNOR preferred and a VA or compact RN license.

Details

• 13-week assignment in the Operating Room department
• 12-hour shifts from 7:00am to 7:30pm with no block scheduling; shifts are assigned
• 36 hours per week
• 2-4 call shifts per week including overnight and weekend coverage
• 11 OR suites handling 25-35 cases per day
• Case mix includes Ortho, Neuro, Maxillofacial, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Colo-Rectal, General, GYN, Robotics, Urology, Spine, Podiatry, Thoracic, and Breast procedures
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (must be AHA)
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Must be able to both scrub and circulate
• Thoracic, Trauma, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and Robotics surgical experience required

• Scrub and circulate for a broad range of complex surgical specialties
• Scrubs are provided by the hospital
• Floor-specific orientation is 1 week (2 weeks for night shift)
• On-call responsibilities include overnight and weekend shifts
