American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN with Level I/II trauma center experience and required pediatric exposure for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

• Emergency Department setting in a Level I and Level II Trauma Center
• 13-week assignment with day shift schedule (4x12 hours, 7:00-19:00)
• 36 or 48 hours per week, weekends required with variable scheduled days based on staffing needs
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Every other holiday coverage required
• Floating required within scope of practice as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license (pending license accepted, must be in hand by the Wednesday before start)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required (TNCC may be pending but must be obtained before start)
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• At least 1 year of Level I trauma facility experience or 2 years of Level II trauma facility experience required
• Some pediatric experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• BSN preferred
• Two professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide emergency department nursing care including triage in a high-acuity trauma setting
• Maximum of 40 hours of requested time off per 13-week contract, must be disclosed prior to submission
• Any vacation time between sign date and start date must be disclosed to arrange an appropriate start date
• Nursys license verification required with submission
• Previous UVA Health employment (permanent staff or traveler) must be disclosed; a 1-year separation and leadership approval required for rehire eligibility
• External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return once this threshold is reached
• No radius restriction applies to this unit
