Description

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN with CA licensure and at least 2 years of PACU experience for a peri-anesthesia nursing role caring for geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients.

Details

• PACU unit providing peri-anesthesia care from admission through discharge
• Cares for geriatric, adult, and adolescent surgical patients
• Uses Epic charting system
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, no weekends required
• Float to other campuses required if census permits

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of PACU RN experience required, preferably in a high acuity hospital setting
• ICU experience required
• Cath Lab experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Travel RN experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required

Additional Information

• Deliver individualized nursing care based on peri-anesthesia standards, airway management, and pharmacology knowledge
• Perform nursing assessments and manage medication doses, interactions, and reactions
• Work as part of a peri-anesthesia care team supporting patients through recovery
• Holiday coverage may be required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, with only one holiday request approved per contract
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
