American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Ortho/Trauma unit position requiring an OK or compact RN license and prior charge experience is highly preferred.

Details

• Hospital-based Ortho/Trauma unit setting
• Cares for patients with a range of orthopedic and trauma-related health conditions from simple to complex
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Self-scheduling and mandatory shift (MS) requirements apply
• Charge nurse experience highly preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact (eNLC)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Provides direct nursing care to an assigned group of patients, including administering medications and monitoring IV infusions and blood products
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Documents patient responses and changes in physician orders
• Communicates with patients and families regarding care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge information
• Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Compliance documentation and onboarding requirements must be completed promptly, as start dates are strictly enforced
• Returning travelers may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks unless otherwise agreed upon, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
