American Traveler is hiring an LPN with 1+ year experience for a long-term care setting supporting varied 8-hour shift coverage.

Details

• Long-term care (LTC) unit setting
• Varied 8-hour shift schedule
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Current, active LPN license required if applicable
• Graduate of an approved LPN program
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• CPR and ACLS certifications required
• Basic computer skills with ability to learn facility-specific programs
• Visual, auditory, and manual dexterity to assess patient conditions and administer care

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision, including personal hygiene care and participation in care plan updates
• Administer medications and treatments, including respiratory therapy modalities, and maintain accurate documentation
• Apply and enforce infection control policies and practices
• Report incidents and changes in patient condition to the RN and respond appropriately in emergency situations
• Provide patient instruction during hospitalization and at discharge
• Assist with orientation and training of new staff members and students
• Maintain professional competence through continuing education participation
