American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift MS/PCU role requiring MD or compact RN license and CPU/PCU experience with higher acuity patients.

Details

• Combined MS/Tele unit (3E CPU) caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Average daily census of 30 with 22 rooms and 30 beds
• Patient diagnoses include CHF, ECOPD, NSTEMI, new onset AFib, arrhythmias, sepsis, and renal failure/AKI
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within specialty as needed
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• No pre-scheduled on-call, but may be placed on call in lieu of a call-off

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) required
• BLS, CPI, and NIH certifications required
• ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Will consider first-time travelers with strong CPU/PCU experience able to handle higher acuity patients

Additional Information

• Care for a combined medical/surgical and telemetry patient population requiring higher acuity and PCU-level skills
• Navy blue scrubs required
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of offer, with no more than one major and one minor holiday request during fall/winter holidays
