American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse - Case Manager with 2 years of acute hospital case management experience for a day-shift assignment requiring active CA RN licensure.

Details

• Acute hospital Case Management/Utilization Review department
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Required to work every other weekend
• No call requirements
• Floating between like units required based on facility need
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required, must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of acute hospital case management experience including care coordination and discharge planning
• Prior travel experience required, though first-time travelers may be considered with clinical manager approval
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with admission criteria, benefits eligibility, care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment/DME ordering, and prior authorizations
• Knowledge of CMS, DRG, HIPAA guidelines, and Joint Commission/Core Measure/National Safety Goals required
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, admission criteria review, benefits eligibility verification, needs assessment, and prior authorizations
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Radius requirement of 50 miles for local candidate classification
• Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a minimum 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application, as post-offer requests may not be granted
