American Traveler is hiring an experienced Infusion RN for an outpatient ambulatory infusion center, requiring 2+ years of chemo administration experience and ONS chemo provider certification.

Details

• Ambulatory infusion center with 25 infusion chairs, attached to a hem/onc clinic
• Adult patient population with hematologic, oncologic, or medical diagnoses requiring outpatient infusion services
• Seeing 60-110 patients per day, with each nurse assigned 2-3 infusion chairs per shift
• 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week, 40 hours weekly
• Schedule is 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM
• Every 3rd Saturday required
• May float to Peabody location based on staffing needs, though floating is rare and assigned by date of last float
• APP coverage provided by adjoining clinic
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active MA RN license in hand
• BLS certification (AHA)
• ONS chemo provider card required
• Minimum 2 years of experience with chemotherapy administration
• Experience accessing and deaccessing IVADs
• Experience with PICC lines
• Experience starting peripheral IVs
• Experience with Alaris infusion pumps
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Copy of flu vaccination required during flu season

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, medical infusion administration, blood transfusions, phlebotomy, and use of Alaris and CADD infusion pumps for home infusion therapy
• Unit-specific procedures and protocols required for this role
• Orientation is 1 week, with required forms, learning, and competencies assigned prior to arrival
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for 6+ months and in good standing to be considered
• No local candidates accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius
• COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
• RTO must be submitted at time of application or requests will not be approved
