American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Health RN to provide caregiver health services including pre-employment screening, surveillance, and vaccinations at a Providence facility, requiring at least 1 year of relevant experience and a CA RN license.

Details

• Occupational Health/Caregiver Health unit setting
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Provides pre-employment health screens, vaccinations, and surveillance services such as TB, hazardous drug, lead, and hearing conservation monitoring
• Manages caregiver exposures to blood, body fluids, or infectious disease per organizational protocols
• Travels to assigned ministries/sister facilities to provide on-site services as directed
• May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Utilizes a new in-house EHR system (Epic is not used)

Requirements

• Active CA RN license (Compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required
• Working knowledge of regulatory requirements including Joint Commission, local health department, OSHA, and CDC standards
• Strong accuracy, time management, and priority-setting skills required
• 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, which may include Charge RNs/Leads
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Serves as an integral team member collaborating with Infection Prevention, Absence and Disability Management, Workers' Compensation, and Well-being teams
• Reviews occupational incident data and provides recommendations on prevention and risk mitigation
• Maintains confidentiality and accuracy of employee health records
• Contributes to development of standard operating procedures and clinical standard work
• Manages medical supply inventory and ensures equipment functionality
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities as permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem staff
