American Traveler is seeking an RN Nurse Navigator with prior ambulatory nurse navigation/coordination experience and a current CA RN license for a 26-week day shift assignment.

Details

• Ambulatory setting Nurse Navigator role coordinating patient care
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 26-week contract length
• Epic EMR used, must be documented in work history

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• BLS certification required; CCRN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required
• Minimum 1 year of nurse navigation/coordination experience in an ambulatory setting required
• Ambulatory experience is a plus
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Specialty unit candidates must have at least 1 year of full-time equivalent experience in that specialty within the past 2 years
• Skilled in adult IV starts, medication administration (IM, IV infusions, subcutaneous), and minor injections such as B12
• Experience with patient teaching, office duties, pharmacy calls/refill requests, and telephone triage
• Two supervisor references required at time of application

• Coordinates patient navigation and care across the ambulatory continuum
• Performs office-based clinical duties including patient teaching, telephone triage, and medication administration
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for a minimum of 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
• Facility may or may not conduct an interview prior to placement
• First-time travelers considered only if candidate demonstrates strong clinical skills
