Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PICU RN for a day shift assignment requiring 2 years of PICU experience with CICU exposure and OH or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) of a children's hospital
• Care for pediatric ICU patients with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating required within the hospital, including to the CICU (CVPICU) and potentially to another campus
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience with exposure to CICU required
• Supervisor reference within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric ICU patients, including those requiring cardiovascular intensive care support
• Blocked scheduling accommodated only if willing to work all weekends (Friday-Sunday)
• Minimum of 2 holidays coverage required
• Full vaccination required for all candidates with no exceptions
• First-time travelers considered, provided they meet the 2 years of specialty experience requirement
• Previous CCHMC employees are ineligible to apply for contract positions for 1 year from their termination date
• Candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be considered local and subject to local pay rates
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration and cannot exceed 5 days total
