American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for an academic medical center role requiring ACLS, PALS, and prior PACU experience.

Details

• Work in the PACU unit of an academic medical center
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 12:00 PM-8:30 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:2, with potential to increase to 1:4 during overflow situations
• On-call required every 3rd weekend, typically scheduled on a volunteer basis, covering 7a-7p or 7p-7a shifts
• Holiday coverage is part of the call schedule

Requirements

• Active LA or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA-issued)
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• NURSYS report required for consideration

Additional Information

• Royal blue scrub color required
• May be assigned to an Emergency Team during declared emergency events, requiring extended on-site presence or relief team participation
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to qualify
