American Traveler is hiring an experienced Pediatrics RN for a night shift assignment requiring MA licensure and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Pediatrics unit of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes respiratory, trauma, psych, diabetes, general med surg, and eating disorder cases
• Typical patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
• Every third weekend required
• Primarily stationed on Pediatrics with float requirement to PICU
• Uses Epic charting system
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS and PALS certification required
• APHON certification preferred
• 2 years of recent Peds/PICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skills in respiratory care, IV therapy, medication administration, and pediatric dosage calculations preferred
• Two references required for consideration, with one from a Nurse Manager or higher

Additional Information

• Provide pediatric nursing care across a varied patient population including respiratory, trauma, psych, diabetes, and eating disorder cases
• Support includes standard hospital nursing team structure within a teaching hospital environment
• Must complete a Pass/Fail Telemetry test and Pass/Fail Medication exam during orientation
• Additional pre-start and orientation modules required, completed annually
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at the same bill rate
• Radius requirement of 200 miles for travel pay eligibility
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed in the first week
• First-time travelers not eligible; prior travel nursing experience required
