Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level 1 trauma hospital's Main OR, requiring circulating experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Position based in the Main OR of a 1000+ bed hospital with a 56-bed OR (inpatient and outpatient) plus 5 procedural rooms
• Level 1 trauma facility
• 12-hour day shifts Monday through Friday, 9a to 9p, with variable days based on unit need (no block schedule available)
• Late stay coverage required, based in the Main OR
• 36 hours per week over a 26-week assignment
• Adult patient population only, no pediatrics
• All case types including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
• All service lines except cardiac, transplant, trauma/neuro
• May float between ORs but not between facility locations

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required on file at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Circulating experience required, scrub experience not required
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Late stay responsibilities required, typically up to four late stays per 13-week period, generally lasting no more than one hour past normal shift end (may increase during summer and December)
• Time off should be limited, with expectation to work 2 of 3 holidays
• Only a 26-week commitment will be considered, shorter durations not accepted
• Orientation dates are limited to specific dates: 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, and 10/26
• Local candidates accepted
• Radius rule of 75 miles applies; candidates within this radius are eligible at the local rate
