American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level 1 trauma hospital's OR Float Pool, requiring circulating experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• 26-week assignment in the OR Float Pool of a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital
• 56-bed OR unit handling inpatient and outpatient cases plus 5 procedural rooms
• Adult patient population only, no pediatric cases
• All case types including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
• Excludes cardiac, transplant, trauma/neuro service lines
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
• Schedule days vary weekly based on unit needs; no block schedule available
• Late stay required, with up to four late stays expected during a 13-week period
• May float between OR units but not between facility locations

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required on file at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Circulating experience required; scrub experience not required
• Prior travel assignment experience required

Additional Information

• Provide circulating nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties in a Level 1 trauma OR setting
• Orientation limited to specific dates: 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, or 10/26
• Time off should be limited, with expectation to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Late stay responsibilities may increase during summer and December
• Local candidates accepted, with a 75-mile radius rule determining rate eligibility
