Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry float pool position requiring large teaching facility experience and a VT or compact RN license.

Details

• Float pool position supporting central pool Med/Tele units, with travelers floating first
• Supports areas including medicine, surgical, hematology/oncology, orthopedics, cardiothoracic, cardiac, acute rehab, and psychiatry units
• 12-hour day shifts, 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM, 36 hours per week
• Schedule spans Monday through Sunday with no block schedules
• Minimum of every other weekend required, with schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• Must be flexible with scheduling
• Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays

Requirements

• Active VT or compact RN license required
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Minimum of 2 years of unit experience required
• Large, teaching facility experience required
• Epic experience within the past 2 years required
• Prior travel experience required
• Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across a variety of medical-surgical and telemetry units as part of a float pool team
• Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in the area
• Rates are tiered based on direct-line mileage: local (50 miles or less), radius (51-100 miles), and travel (101+ miles)
