American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring NJ or compact licensure and the ability to manage a high-risk, high-census delivery unit.

Details

• Delivery Room unit within a hospital setting
• High-risk labor and delivery unit with high patient census
• EPIC charting system used
• 3x12-hour PM shifts, 7a-7p schedule
• No on-call requirements
• No floating to other facilities required, though float to a sister hospital nearby is possible
• May be required to work holidays based on unit need

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Experience managing high-risk labor and delivery patients in a high-census environment

• Deliver competent clinical care with knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures specific to the unit
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient progress and education
• Demonstrate professionalism and adherence to unit policies and procedures
• Promote a patient- and family-centered environment while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including patient identification protocols and safe body mechanics
• Provide individualized care based on procedure type and patient condition across the continuum of care
• Prioritize patient care based on condition changes and unit needs
• Provide patient education and support pre- and post-procedure understanding
• Local candidates accepted at a different rate
