Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring a Maine or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

Details

• Med/Surg unit caring for adult patients
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license in Maine (or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement) or compact license
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certification required within 6 months of hire
• Strong assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently

Additional Information

• Directs and coordinates patient care team members to deliver individualized, quality care
• Develops patient care plans in partnership with physicians, care team members, and patients/families
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Promotes teamwork with medical staff and hospital personnel
• Adheres to hospital policies on confidentiality, harassment, advance directives, and ADA compliance
