American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Operating Room with 5+ years of OR circulating experience and a NC or compact RN license for a Level 3 Trauma center.

Details

• 19 OR suites with 17 rooms blocked, averaging 50 cases per day
• Surgery specialties include trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, hearts, MI vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, robotics, general, HPB, bariatrics, urology, ENT, eyes, pain, and plastics
• Bariatric Center of Excellence and Advanced Spine Surgery Certification designations
• 12hr Day Shift schedule, 7a-7p, working Friday/Saturday/Sunday, 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation every 4th weekend, which may include a scheduled shift or call coverage
• Call required averaging 6 shifts per 6-week schedule with a 45-minute response time, covering 11p-7a or 7a-7p/7p-7a on weekends
• No floating required
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred but not required
• Minimum 5 years of OR experience required
• Experience circulating cases across trauma, ortho, spine, hearts, vascular, GYN-Oncology, robotics, general, HPB, bariatrics, urology, ENT, eyes, pain, and plastics
• Minimum 12 months core OR experience within the last year required
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Work within a Level 3 Trauma center that is also a Stroke Center of Excellence, Bariatric Center of Excellence, and Chest Pain Center
• Supported by service line clinical supervisors, charge nurses, educators, ORAs, unit secretaries, and tech engineers
• Orientation includes NEO plus 2 days of departmental orientation
• Travelers will work 75% of holidays
• RTO subject to manager approval
• Scrubs provided and free parking available
• First-time travelers will not be accepted for this role
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
