American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for an adult co-occurring psychiatric unit requiring MD or compact RN license and 2+ years of experience.

Details

• Work in the Adult Co-Occurring Unit of a psychiatric hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to any age population expected when scheduling requires
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Allscripts (Sunrise) EMR
• May be required to serve as charge RN during shifts

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required, permanent license only - temporary licenses not accepted
• BLS certification required, CPI certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel RN experience required
• Allscripts (Sunrise) EMR experience preferred
• Prior charge RN experience preferred
• Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland via Livescan prior to start, with receipt required for clearance
• Must pass drug screen on first attempt; medical marijuana cards are not accepted due to facility's addictions treatment focus

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in a co-occurring behavioral health unit
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Free employee parking available on campus
• Orientation held every other Thursday, with related documentation and modules due in advance
• Annual and orientation training modules completed through Relias/Net Learning portal
• One pre-approved RTO request allowed, must be submitted with initial application
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted
• Former permanent employees must wait one full year before applying for a travel position
