American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Psychiatric/Behavioral Health position on night shift, requiring 2+ years of experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit within a 77-bed facility
• Adult patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:11
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required across up to 4 different units
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered NC or compact RN license
• 2+ years of nursing experience required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) required within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program required
• Experience in psychiatric, chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, or geriatric care preferred
• Experience with patient assessments, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct psychiatric and behavioral health nursing care to adult patients
• May be required to work flexible hours and overtime
• Navy scrub color required
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Professional demeanor expected in this behavioral health setting
