American Traveler is hiring a Med-Surg Telemetry RN with acute care experience and Epic proficiency for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Med-Surg Telemetry unit with 24 beds and a 6:1 patient ratio
• Mixed diagnoses with RN-monitored telemetry (no titration)
• Night shift schedule, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Unit supported by a CRN, discharge nurse, and weekday pharmacists
• Uses Epic EMR
• Equipment includes IV/PCA pumps, wound vac, and glucometer
• Skills needed include trach care, feeding tubes, CPAP, wound vac, and dialysis assessment

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum two years of acute inpatient RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical outcomes
• Provides patient and family education throughout treatment and at discharge
• Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serves as a mentor/preceptor
• Participates in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives
• Complies with regulatory standards and practice governance model
