Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN with recent post-anesthesia care experience for a 12-hour day shift assignment.

Details

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on the Ground Floor treats high-acuity cases across Thoracic, Orthopedic, Neurology, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery specialties
Unit operates 24/7 and is overseen by a Charge Nurse and Supervisor
Schedule follows 12-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday from 10am-10:30pm
Uses Cerner EMR system
No on-call requirements, but unit is covered by call on holidays

Requirements

Active RN license (GA state or Compact) required
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (all AHA)
Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience required

Additional Information

Care for high-acuity post-surgical patients recovering from anesthesia across multiple surgical specialties
Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
Returning staff who previously worked in a permanent role must have a 2-year break before returning as a traveler
