Description

American Traveler is hiring a PCU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring CO or compact RN license and prior PCU experience.

Details

• 5th Floor Medical unit within the main hospital building
• 45-bed unit with approximately 90 staff members
• Typical staffing includes 1 charge RN, 9-10 RNs, and 4-5 MSTs per shift
• Patient ratios of 4-5 patients per RN on both day and night shifts
• Uses lifts, dynamap, and cardiac monitoring equipment
• Meditech EMR used
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Self-scheduling available where allowed

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience required
• Cardiac and ICU experience preferred
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform cardiac drips and manage cardiac catheters
• Provide chest tube management, wound care, and TPN/lipid administration
• Team-oriented environment with a positive attitude toward staff and providers
• New lift equipment and mobile technology available on the unit
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
