American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Night Shift Emergency Department position at a Level II Trauma Center requiring at least 1 year of ER experience.

Details

• Combined Adult/Pediatric General Emergency Department in a Level II Trauma Center
• STEMI and Stroke Certified facility
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (18:45-07:15), with option for 36 or 48 hours per week
• 2 weekend shifts required per contract
• Charting completed in Epic (experience required)
• Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs

Requirements

• Active KS or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of recent ER experience required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required in hand
• TNCC certification preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in trauma, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
• Experience with triage, isolation precautions/PPE, and orthopedic splinting
• Skilled in managing psychiatric emergencies, overdose, and violent behavior
• Experience with IV therapy, central line care, and blood product administration preferred

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across adult and pediatric populations including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and psychiatric cases
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as locals are not accepted
• Former perm staff must have separated from employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation
