Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Stepdown float pool position requiring 2 years of PCU/SDU experience and the ability to float to medical/surgical floors.

Details

• Stepdown float pool position with floating to medical/surgical units as needed
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Patient ratios range from 1:3 to 5
• Epic charting system required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Indiana or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/SDU experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/PICC/peripheral line care, and blood product administration
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry monitoring
• Experience managing neurological conditions such as CVA, TBI, and seizure disorders
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management
• Driver's license required for consideration

• Provide stepdown-level nursing care with the flexibility to float to medical/surgical floors when needed
• First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
