American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN with a CA license and at least 2 years of cardiac telemetry/PCU step-down experience for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required, with holidays as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Care includes pre/post Cardiac Cath, pre/post CABG, and pre/post TAVR patients
• Manages cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Heparin, Cardizem, and Dopamine

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Telemetry/PCU step-down experience required
• Experience with titrating and managing cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Heparin, Cardizem, Dopamine) required, no exceptions
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with pacemakers (temporary/permanent) and TR Band management
• Proficient in respiratory care including nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• Wound care/wound vac experience

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for cardiac telemetry and step-down/PCU patients
• Monitor and respond to cardiac emergencies including dysrhythmia management
• Perform pre/post procedural care for cardiac catheterization, CABG, and TAVR patients
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Only 1 holiday time-off request approved per contract
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers not preferred for this role
