American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery/Operating Room position requiring L&D OR experience and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.

Details

• Work in a Labor and Delivery unit consisting of a 3-bay OBED, 20 labor rooms, 3 ORs, and 3 PACU bays
• Care for patients during labor, delivery, and recovery post-childbirth, including high risk antepartum and postpartum patients
• Travelers function in OBED, L&D, and OB PACU but will not circulate OR cases
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am
• Schedule includes 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Current NRP certification
• Current and active Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification through AWHONN or GE
• Minimum one year of nursing experience required
• Previous Labor and Delivery operating room experience required
• Must be able to circulate for C-sections
• Must be able to triage for OB patients
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing required
• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing preferred

Additional Information

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and continuously improve patient care
