American Traveler is hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology RN for an acute care hospital role requiring EKG interpretation skills and call coverage.

Details

• Acute care setting within the Interventional Radiology department, featuring 6 procedural labs with pre-op and phase 2 recovery areas
• Handles 20-30 cases per day, treating diagnoses such as GI bleeds, strokes, biopsies, central lines, drains, and vascular conditions
• Patient ratios are 1:1 intraprocedural, with a maximum of 1:4 in phase 2 recovery
• Uses EPIC EMR and Phillips monitors
• Charge RN covers 0730-1700 and does not take patients, but assists with cases and lunch coverage
• Supported by 1 PCT on the IR team
• Schedule consists of 9-hour day shifts, 4 days per week, between 0630-1800
• Not a self-scheduling unit
• No floating required
• Primary and secondary call requirements of 6-8 shifts every 6 weeks, including weekends
• Holiday call required, though the department is closed on holidays
• Call response time is 30 minutes

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required and must be active at time of consideration
• EKG interpretation skills required
• Drip titration experience required
• ED, ICU, or procedural experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Interventional Radiology unit handling complex vascular and procedural cases
• Surgical scrubs are provided
• Department-specific orientation lasts 5 days, with 12 hours of non-billable orientation overall
• Local candidates within 50 miles are eligible for a local rate
• Facility requires a negative drug screen across all panels prior to starting
• No radius restriction impacts eligibility for this position
