American Traveler is hiring an RN for a PACU position requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification, with new grads welcome to apply.

Details

• Work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital setting
• Care for patients immediately following surgical or procedural interventions requiring anesthesia
• Monitor patients during the initial recovery period and address potential complications
• 3rd shift schedule, Thursday-Saturday 7p-7a
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document in accordance with RN scope of practice and hospital policies
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with case management
• Provide patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning
• Collaborate with inter-professional team members and delegate tasks appropriately
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as monitoring patient satisfaction, falls, and pressure ulcers
