American Traveler is hiring an RN - Telemetry for a hospital day-shift assignment requiring ACLS certification and telemetry nursing experience.

Details

• Acute telemetry unit caring for MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and med surg overflow patients
• Manages cardiac drips (excluding nitrates)
• Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1-6:1 depending on staffing
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (LA state license or compact) required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification from AHA required
• 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred
• BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Administers medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Provides patient and family education based on identified learning needs
• Ceil blue scrubs required
• Returning employees who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility (non-travel) must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment
