Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with strong ortho and total joints experience for a 13-week evening shift assignment requiring an active MA RN license.

Details

• Work in a 20-OR surgical department caring for Gynecology, General, Urology, Robotics, Oncology, Orthopedics (Joint Replacements, Sports Medicine, and Oncology), Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastic, and Interventional Pulmonology cases
• 10-hour evening shift schedule, 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM, 40 hours per week
• First week of orientation is 5 days, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Up to 4 call shifts per month including weekends and holidays
• Short call is 2 hours after a shift once a week
• Weekend call covers 7a-7p or 7p-7a once a month, with overnight weeknight call from 7p-7a
• No floating or charge responsibilities required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• 1-3 years of related OR work experience required
• Strong Ortho and Total Joints experience required
• Scrub experience required
• Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise preferred
• Copy of flu vaccination required during flu season for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and scrub duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedic joint replacements
• Weekly orientation begins each Monday barring holidays
• COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility
• All RTO requests must be submitted for consideration at time of application
• Parking near the facility can cost up to $43 per day
