Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-functioning Progressive Care Unit (PCU) requiring cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia management experience.

Details

• Work in a high-level, high-functioning PCU with multiple long-term patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Day shift schedule of 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to any Cone Health campus as needed
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Experience with management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Peripheral line and PICC line care/management experience
• Experience titrating drips
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (Pass/Fail, two attempts allowed)
• Current driver's license required to verify address

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include respiratory support, IV therapy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line management, and wound care
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response duties including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management preferred
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and titration preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
