American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring NV RN licensure and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit at a Level II Trauma Center
• 3x12 day shift schedule with 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• No on-call requirements
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and occasional call shifts
• Floating required up to competency level based on organizational needs
• One additional shift pickup required during the schedule period
• Facility may cancel shifts (full or partial) with 48 hours notice for low census
• Uses Epic EMR with training available during orientation or test-out option

Requirements

• Active NV RN license required prior to start
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam including rhythm strip identification and measurement
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Tele experience required
• At least one recent 13-week travel assignment within the past year required

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Facility is the region's only Level II Trauma Center, treating over 80,000 ER and trauma patients annually
• Minimum of 2 major holidays coverage required
• No blocked scheduling permitted; all assignments are for 13 weeks
• RTO must be submitted with initial application and will not be added at end of contract
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Returning travelers must have a 13-week break after completing a prior contract at this facility
