American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 26-bed unit requiring a UT or compact RN license and prior med/surg experience.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit with 26 beds and a 6:1 patient ratio
• Techs available for staffing support
• Uses hoyer lifts, rolling computers, and rolling vital sign machines
• Documentation via Meditech
• Day shift schedule from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Requires 4 weekend shifts per month
• Floating required to Surgical or Acute Rehab units as needed
• Cares for cardiac patients returning from cath lab procedures

Requirements

• Active UT or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• BSN preferred
• Experience with NG/NJ tubes, chest tubes, and heparin drips required
• Proficiency in medication administration and controlled substance handling required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
