American Traveler is hiring an Oncology RN for an outpatient clinic position requiring 2 years of oncology experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Outpatient oncology clinic setting within a hospital-affiliated oncology program
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 5x8 hours (0800-1630, may vary slightly based on clinic needs)
• No holidays or weekends required
• Performs colposcopies and biopsies in the clinic setting
• Uses Cerner Oncology charting system
• Floating required based on facility census and staffing needs

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Chemo (ONS/ONCC) and OCN certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE and neutropenic precautions
• Tracheostomy care/management and wound care experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide outpatient oncology nursing care, including patient/family education and psychosocial support
• Support post-surgical care for patients following procedures performed in the hospital setting
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least three years before returning as a traveler
• Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted
• Candidates requesting holiday RTO must be willing to work one of the three major holidays
