American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Electrophysiology Lab position at an academic medical center, requiring NC or compact RN licensure and 2+ years of EP scrub experience.

Details

• Electrophysiology Lab setting within a Level 1 Trauma, academic teaching hospital
• Average of 15-20 EP cases per day
• Patient population includes cardiac arrhythmias requiring electrophysiology procedures
• Performs ablations, CRM device procedures, and LAAO; LLE scrub experience requested
• Uses EPIC/Cupid EMR along with Carto, Rhythmia, ESI/Opal, 3D/4D ICE, and X-ray equipment
• 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, Monday-Friday with variable hours 0600-1900
• Weekend rotation of 3-4 Saturdays every 8-10 weeks
• Late day sign-up required 3-5 times per month to finish cases
• No floating required
• No on-call requirements except day after Thanksgiving and day before Christmas

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of EP Lab scrub experience required, including ablations, CRM devices, and LAAO
• Minimum 12 months of core EP specialty experience with most recent experience within the last year
• Scrub experience required for RN role
• Skilled in circulating, sterile technique, hemodynamic monitoring, arterial/venous sheath management, and 3D mapping
• Experience with moderate sedation, Isuprel drips, and cardioversions
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

• Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating for EP procedures, documentation, airway management during nurse-led sedation, and radiation safety
• Collaborates with physicians, fellows, anesthesia, vendors, and unit leadership in a teaching hospital environment
• Facility culture is patient-focused, team-oriented, and inclusive with fellow physician training present
• 2-day general and departmental orientation provided
• Surgical green scrubs provided by the hospital
• Closed on select holidays including New Year's Day, MLK Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
• RTO subject to manager approval
• First-time travelers considered depending on relevant EP Lab experience
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted due to radius rule
• Previous employees must be separated from any Advocate Health Southeast facility for at least 1 year following a permanent position before returning
