American Traveler is hiring a Step-down RN with critical care and neuroscience experience for a night shift position requiring VA or compact RN license and NIHSS certification.

Details

• 12-bed intermediate-level unit utilizing critical care and neuroscience principles
• Patient population includes those transferring from Neuro ICU, neuro trauma, subarachnoid, intraventricular, and intracerebral hemorrhage cases
• Also cares for ENT oncology patients post tumor resection and flap reconstruction, as well as post-operative spine patients
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shift, 4x12 hour shifts, 19:00-7:00
• 13-week assignment with 36 or 48 hour weeks
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Must adhere to facility float policy

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license (pending license accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Deliver intermediate-level critical care and neuroscience nursing to a complex patient population
• Up to 40 hours of RTO can be approved per contract
• No radius requirement for this position
• Candidates must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler to this facility
