American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg-Neuro unit requiring at least 1-2 years of recent med/surg experience in a large hospital and a Level 1 trauma setting.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg-Neuro unit (6AB) within a Level 1 trauma hospital
• 32-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 4-5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift
• 12-hour day/night rotating shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Shift rotation pattern varies by scheduling cycle, alternating between days and nights or staying consistent for several weeks at a time
• Uses Epic EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps
• Primary unit is 6AB, with float expectations to any Med/Surg unit across all 3 Sanford Medical Centers in Fargo

Requirements

• Active ND or Compact RN license required
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in a large hospital setting (200+ beds)
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience with successful completion required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Neuro patient experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessments, documentation, nursing tasks, and medication administration
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Candidates living 60 to 80 miles from the facility are eligible at a reduced local rate
• Candidates who have previously worked for this health system must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
