American Traveler is seeking a Wound Care RN with WOCN certification and at least 2 years of wound care experience for a day-shift position requiring a South Carolina or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Wound Care unit of a teaching hospital
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 0730 to 1600
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• No floating required outside scope of practice, though floating to sister facilities for like units may occur
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• WOCN certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a WOCN RN
• Epic EMR experience required
• Pediatric experience highly preferred
• Social Security number and driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive wound, ostomy, and continence care including dressing changes, debridement techniques, wound vac therapy, and skin integrity assessments
• Perform ulcer risk assessments using tools such as the Braden scale
• Manage colostomy/ileostomy care and continence therapeutic devices
• Work within a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital with 865 staffed beds
• Facility provides scrubs
• Must reside within 60 miles of the facility to be considered a local candidate; non-local candidates are prioritized
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on the position
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application for consideration
• Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs June through November
