American Traveler is hiring a Neuro ICU RN for a 13-week intermediate care assignment requiring MA RN licensure and experience with EVDs, lumbar drains, and arterial lines.

Details

• Neuro Intermediate Care Unit with 18 intermediate beds and 18 general neuroscience beds
• Patient population includes arterial lines, EVDs, lumbar drains, post-op day zero neuro cases, acute thrombectomies, TPA administration, and some vasoactive infusions
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• May float from Neuro IMCU to the Neuro ICU floor
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 3+ years of related RN work experience required
• Experience with EVDs, lumbar drains, and arterial lines required
• Basic proficiency navigating web-based applications required
• Proof of flu vaccination required during flu season
• COVID vaccine plus booster required (medical exemptions allowed)

Additional Information

• Care for neuro ICU/IMCU patients including post-surgical and acute neurological cases
• Weekly orientation held every Monday, barring holidays
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates must be separated from any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility for at least six months before returning, whether previously travel, perm, or per diem staff
• All RTO requests must be submitted for consideration prior to starting
• Parking near the facility can cost up to $43 per day
