Description

American Traveler is hiring a Level III NICU RN for a 17-week rotating day/night assignment requiring a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience at a large teaching facility.

Details

• Work in the M7 NICU unit
• 12-hour rotating shifts (day/night), mainly nights with days as needed
• 36 hours per week, Monday through Sunday scheduling
• No block schedules permitted
• Floating required, with travelers floating first to areas such as newborn NICU, mother/baby, newborn rounds, nursery, deliveries, or pediatric/PICU with neonate feeder/grower assignments
• Every other weekend required, with potential for additional weekend shifts as needed
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active VT or compact RN license required
• AHA BLS and NRP certifications required
• STABLE and RNC-NIC certifications preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required
• NICU Level III experience required
• Large (500+ bed) NICU teaching facility experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years required
• Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained

Additional Information

• Provide specialized nursing care within a Level III NICU setting at a teaching facility
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Must work 2 of the following 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended due to lack of public transportation access
• All-season or snow tires recommended for vehicles during November through April
