Description

American Traveler is seeking a CVOR RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a large academic teaching hospital, requiring recent Cardiovascular/Open Heart OR experience and current Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room, specializing in Cardiovascular/Open Heart procedures
• 3x12-hour day shifts per week (0645-1915)
• One to two 12-hour weekday call shifts (1900-0715), typically only one unless short staffed
• One full weekend of call required every 5 weeks
• May float to other OR suites (General, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, etc) in a circulating capacity only
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active RN license (VT or Compact)
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience with recent, high competency in Cardiovascular/Open Heart OR
• Large, academic, teaching hospital experience required
• Epic experience within the past 2 years required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• General OR nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Must scrub in for cardiovascular/open heart cases
• Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays
• Work week runs Monday to Sunday with no block scheduling permitted
• Must maintain flexibility with scheduling to meet unit and patient care needs
• Reliable personal vehicle strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in the area
• All-season or snow tires recommended for vehicles during November through April
