American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 32-bed Ortho & Spine unit requiring 2 years of acute inpatient tele experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Ortho & Spine unit with 32 beds and a 6:1 patient ratio
• Patient population includes ortho, spine, and general medicine diagnoses
• Medication management includes pain management and insulin administration
• Utilizes CPAP, PCA, feeding tubes, wound vac, and trach care skills
• RN reads telemetry but does not perform titration
• Night shift schedule from 6:45p-7:15a, every other weekend
• Uses Epic EMR
• APRN support available with self-scheduling

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient telemetry RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provides patient and family education specific to care needs and discharge planning
• Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serves as a mentor/preceptor
• Participates in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
• Complies with regulatory standards and organizational practice governance model
