Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring NM RN licensure and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Details

• Operating Room setting within a hospital environment
• Surgical patient population including Orthopedic, General, Podiatry, GYN/OB (including C-Sections), Pain Management, Urology, and Endoscopy cases
• 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
• Shift hours 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Full-time work type

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of NM or compact license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA only)
• Verbal CPI certification required upon hire
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
• BSN preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Basic computer knowledge required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care applying the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Consult with physicians, staff, and management on nursing care and hospital policy interpretation
• Act as patient advocate while respecting cultural and religious beliefs and confidentiality
• Demonstrate strong teamwork, time management, and communication skills
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius unless the position specifically states locals are accepted
• Returning employees who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have a 6-month separation before being eligible for a travel assignment
