American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with 2+ years of current OR experience and TN or compact RN licensure for a facility supporting a broad range of surgical specialties.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Circulate role supporting total joint replacement and general OR cases
• Additional surgical specialties include neurology, orthopedic, urology, robotics, and endoscopic procedures
• Uses Cerner EMR and Omnicell medication system
• Schedule is 5x8 shifts Monday-Friday 0630-1500 or 4x10 shifts 0630-1700
• Call requirements include 4-6 weeknights and one 24-hour weekend shift approximately every 6 weeks
• Holiday rotation required
• Floating required in accordance with facility floating policy

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required, must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (NIHSS may be obtained after accepting)
• Minimum 2 years of current OR experience required
• Circulate and total joint experience required
• Cerner charting experience preferred but not required
• Certifications and licensure must not expire within 45 days of the start date
• Must be able to pass EKG testing prior to start date

Additional Information

• Provide circulating RN support across a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedic, neuro, urology, and robotic-assisted procedures
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule with auto-offer process in place
• RTO requests must be discussed directly with the manager during the assignment and cannot be submitted at time of booking
• RTO cannot occur within 14 days of the start date and cannot exceed 7 days
• No RTO permitted during major holidays, including holiday weekends and surrounding days
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced bill rate if residing within 75 miles of the facility; travel rate requires a permanent address greater than 75 miles from the facility
• Previous perm staff cannot return to the same campus within 24 months, but may return to a different Covenant Health campus after 12 months
• Travel team members who are married or related cannot be placed on the same unit
• First-time travelers not considered, as travel experience is required for this specialty
